Small updates to city council

03/11/2012

Hi,

I have done some minor fixes to the Elvandar city council:
– You can now ‘sort’ laws in a different order if you are council member
– You can now retitle laws if you are council member

These changes are just meant to ease your reading and to let you better make titles reflect actual content in a managable way. So please use responsibly (aka not sabotage it even if you are “evil”).

Hack and Cleave

02/19/2012

There have been some changes to the fighter specials ‘hack’ and ‘cleave’. Now you can use two-handed polearms to perform them, in addition to your trusty axe.

Let us know via report if there are any problems.

The favour check miracle

09/23/2011

Hi,

We have changed the “favour check” miracle to only show the favour a person has in your god (no god/karma should be visible). This generally means that it will now be somewhat more difficult to see the true alignment of a person, which should open up for more RP possibilities!

It should have immidiate effect! Bugs/love/abuse/comments => mail me.

Your kick-ass wiz,
Glasp

Small update to archery

07/24/2011

I have made some updates to the code that handles archery. It should be be fully in play after next reboot. You will now be able to tell what sort of missile you have loaded in your bow, etc. New rules are in play when holding a bow or sling loaded. Familiarize yourself with them before you head into any danger. Please report anything that seems awry. I will be looking into the remaining bugs in the mean time.

Yours,
Per

expanded “emote” command

12/17/2010

Hello,

I’ve expanded our “emote” command. Please read “help emote” to familiarize yourself with its features. A quick overview of what is new:

1) Your name can now be anywhere in the sentence rather than always at the beginning.

2) You can now address objects (armours, weapons, etc) as well.

3) You can now conjugate verbs.

4) Emote now uses ANSI colors (you can turn off/turn on/set them under “setcolor communication”).

Since the code is rather complex, I fully expect some problems at the beginning, so if you encounter bugs, please let me know immediately (either post on the forums, send me a mudmail or commune me directly). However, before you decide that it’s a bug, please make sure you fully read and understood the help-file (of course if you think the help-file isn’t clear enough on certain things, let me know as well).

Lastly, there are several rules to prevent abuse of the new emote command, so please read them carefully.

Enjoy,
Abharsair

Attacking resting/sleeping/meditating people

12/10/2010

Greetings,

I’ve made some changes to the initial attacks. If you attack someone who is resting and your victim did NOT see you, he won’t stand up immediately, but starts getting up in stages as if he just fell down during combat. If he saw you prior to the attack, nothing changes.

If your victim was asleep, he/she will wake immediately, but proceeds to stand up in stages rather than immediately.

Meditate is identical to sleep.

If you encounter a bug, please let me know. Thanks.

Abharsair
